We Found This Creamed Corn Recipe

What’s Thanksgiving without creamed corn? When it comes to chef Marcus Guiliano of Aroma Thyme Bistro, simplicity is king. “This is a super easy recipe that our guests love,” Guiliano said, and your Thanksgiving dinner party is sure to enjoy it too.

Creamed Corn

Aroma Thyme Bistro

Ingredients:

  • 2 Cups Frozen Organic Corn Kernels
  • 2 Cups Organic Coconut Milk
  • Sea Salt to taste

Directions:

  1. Simmer the corn and coconut milk in a covered pot for 10 minutes on low heat.
  2. Add half the corn and coconut milk into a blender and pulse. It’s up to you how much you want to puree the mixture. This is where the corn releases the natural sweetness locked in the kernels.
  3. Add the sea salt to taste and serve.

Chefs notes:

  • A touch of Cumin and/or one Cardamom Pod work well with this recipe. Also, you can dice a small Vidalia Onion and cook that ahead of time and let it simmer with the corn and coconut milk.
  • There is no reason to add milk, butter, cream or sugar as many recipes call for. Corn and coconut milk both have a natural sweetness that complement each other very well.

Yes, it’s that simple.
